FASHION CONTEXTS ESSAY

Academic essay writing has continued to be a passion of mine throughout my degree. This subject matter in particular, “With close reference to one 20th century garment, accessory, or ‘look’, discuss its enduring influence upon 21st century fashion“, allowed me to really strengthen my skills as a trend researcher and cultural analyst, and understand some of the research that goes into trend analysis and prediction. I chose to focus on the Hermes Birkin Bag, and throughout the essay I critically analysed the bag’s journey through the 20th and 21st century using theoretical concepts and market/consumer research.
