ABOUT ME…

I am Amy Duncan, a third-year student of fashion communication at Northumbria University. My main passions in the industry are trend and culture research and analysis, and I always adopt an insightful and analytical approach to my projects. For me, fashion is not necessarily the “what?” or “how?”, but the “why?”. I enjoy analysing the art of other creatives, and connecting it’s connotations/ideas to wider socioeconomic concepts, rather than being overtly artistic myself. Curiosity drives all of my work, and zooming out to analyse various cultural, economic, or pop culture trends that are affecting trends within the fashion industry is a skill I am extremely confident in.

This portfolio reflects the wide range of skills I have developed during my time as a fashion communicator at Northumbria University and showcases a portion of the work that I have created.
